Title: camera wont power

I was hoping someone out there can help me. My best friend did some taping over the summer, but when he gets home his Cannon HD video camera wont power, with battery or ac. I was wondering if anyone out there has any idea what the problem could be, recommend someone who can fix, and if in fixing hell lose the content of his hard drive

I've sent my Canon products back to Canon. They did good work. I recall going on their website, and having a pretty easy way to get an RMA for your product.
