Looking to make the jump to HD for recording concerts, $500ish price range, decent low light, any suggestions? Willing to spend a little more if its worth it... I'm assuming we're getting away from mini DV tape and going more towards flash/sdhc memory? I've seen some good feedback on canon's hv30/40 cams, as well as the HF200... wondering if there's something else I should be looking at? Any help appreciated, thanks!

great zoom, mic in, under $500
Dont waste your time on a Tape camera unless you need HV20/30/40 to play your old DV tapes

the HF20/200 is crap - sensor is to smal l for good low light performance
I wouldnt get a cam with a sensor < 1/3"
