Been using Wavelab for a while, but Sound Forge Pro 11 came with my new DR-70D, and also still have Samplitude lying around but don't think I've ever used it.
Any thoughts on which is best for mastering of 2 and 4 channel recordings? I don't normally do a ton of tweaking when it comes to my recordings. Processing might include normalization/gain adjustment, slight EQ if necessary, 24 to 16 bit / 48kHz conversion and dither. Windows system.
Noticed when using Sound Forge recently that processing/saving times seemed to be higher than when using Wavelab. Curious if you guys have a favorite, and why.

I haven't used soundforge on pc in years. as you mentioned render/save times are slow compared to wavelab. I would hope that's been improved some. I find 4 channel much easier in the montage in wavelab as well. I do use soundforge on my macbook but I do 99% of my processing on my pc.

Soundforge is faster than it used to be.
