You may want to go back and re-read the team pmd661 threads.

I use a single mp3450 to power both MixPre-D and pmd661 but internals would be respectable only running digi in. I used to change AA's between sets when using it's p48 to drive mics. Went thru lotsa batts until switching to tekkeon and now run enelope lsd AA's as backups in both.

I use rebranded 2400 eneloops, the Duracell ion ore rechargeable 2400s. I run dpa 4022 phantom on and have been doing two hour shows losing no bars. And they test out at 2700 on my smart charger. I never do more than  3-3.5 hour show, so I have another set to change out and some energizer 2300s for emergencies. I've just had poor luck with outboard power in general and for me, these work really well. Never do festivals.

My pmd-661 using AKG 460s with p48 was taking two sets of 4 AA's to do any 2 set show. If the first set was any longer than 60 minutes I would automatically swap them out.
That said, I'm not a tester type person, so I never actually tested how long they go with that config. (probably check the 661 thread digi-gal is referencing.
As for digi in, I have gone close to 10 hours on a pair of AA's with digi in from a HDP2. I typically prep for 6-8 hours if I am doing digi in and swap out when the 661 shows 1 bar.
As for Line in, I haven't done that enough to have an answer for you.
Now, I use a Tekkeon 3450 (NOT recommended by MFR) as digi gal mentioned. So far, I've had no problems with it unless I forget to turn it on  :o

When I use to use P48 I would also always swap between sets with enelopes with my mics. I now use a USB power bank ((12000mAh)with enelopes backup)). I also now use a MixPre-D and run digital in. I ran some tests with a USB meter and the external battery. It drew about .36 amp formatting a card and recording 24/96 with digital in. It drew about .52 amp with P48 and my mics. The meter read 4.97 volts. So it draws 1.78 watts with digital in and 2.58 watts with P48 and my mics.

I figured I should get around 6 hours with digital and 4 hours with P48 using my external battery. I use the enelops in my MixPre-D and change between sets. I also have a 98 Ah external I can use for festivals where I don't get an AC line drop.
