AHHHHH Can you help me with my JB3?!?

My 'new' ebay purchase, a jb3, boots into rescue mode...I do not think I can select any of the options. I can use the scroll whell fine and windows reconizes the JB3, but I dont think I can select anything to do in rescue mode... WHAT DO I DO??? Thank you in advance for your reply.

First remove battery(ies) and then put them back and hit reset w/ paper clip
