not much info but a card, omni and figure 8 pattern.  Interesting to see if these were any good, but I absolutly dislike LD mics so I wouldn't consider it.

why is that?

i like the sound, but i hate carrying alot of stuff with me, I am a minimalist i suppose.  Maybe thats not liking it for all the wrong reasons as it seems like the tl's are great, but just not my style.  I do promise though in the next few years I will at least try a pair.

just curious, and I agree with you to some extent. I know when I sold the u89s and decided against the Soundfield a big reason was that I was sick of carrying a big bag.

its so nice to have a very small camera bag, its a canon one that measures about 1 foot by 6 inches by 6 inches deep and carry my mics, mp-2, jb3, diy vert, sabra mounts,  and 8ft of cable all in it. And then my bogen 3373 with me.  Of course I don't have an a/d but i have stealthed that rig before and clamped onto a rail.

I don't, I backed out of the game entirely for awhile to concentrate on my home stereo

if I was to run an active setup it would be the schoeps

I ran the neumann's for a little while a few years ago.

my first mics were actually 391's :)

Heh, heh.  Seems like awhile ago you planned on getting out of the taping game to concentrate on your studies and the bar.  Good to see you've got your priorities straightened out. :P

seriously guys...The guy had a question...I noticed these mics pop up in some music mags a few months ago.  I did some searching to find out for myself a little more...merely based on spec.  these mics exibit a loud self noise 17 db which will exhibit itself as hiss in quiet passages now this is not as loud as say 22 db of a earthworks mic but loud non the less. they also top out around 125 db spl.  this is on the low side of things.  You want a mic with around atleast 130 perferrably 135 db spl or more.  With real loud passages hitting the mic to low of an spl will overload the mic. The company is skechy on the rest of the specs. such as freq. charts., dynamic range ect.  I believe the capsules are mad in china.  which means they come from one of litterally five factories that rebrands the caps for MXL, ADK, SP, MCA, JOE MEEK and some I can't think of at the moment.  I am always leary when a company does not give full disclosure about their product, its like what are you hiding!(call me an alarmist).  But to contradict myself it all comes down to sound, how does it sound , do you like the way it sounds......this I can't answer because I haven't heard one yet....but in researching mics prior to buying my MBHO's( which are not cheap)  I learned alot from reviewing specs such as, curves, patterns, dynamic range, spl ect.  here is the site to look for youself.
