Get something you can use in all applications.  I own 391/93 and 481/83.  I think it comes down to preference.  I used to patched out of a guy that had 481/82/83->V2->ad2k and the recordings were amazing hence why "I" when to AKG.  You may have other preference. Money will get you the greatest but when it comes down to it, let you ears do the talking rather than somebody else.  Everybody has a fav.  my .02

Pearl wishes to introduce its new Tube Microphones - the CT40 and the DT40. The CT40 model uses a fixed cardioid capsule while the DT40 model offers a choice of five different polar patterns making this microphone ideal for many recording applications.

I'd add a pair of MK2s and MK8s, and another set of CMC6 bodies and KC5 actives.  And since price would be no object, I'd pick up a Deva V, too.

U89's or TLM 170's not sure which I like better.

A full set of caps for my KM100s

A perfect set of KM54s would be nice to. I always loved my friends tapes with the 54s.

After sampling other schoeps caps for the hell of it, maybe try the Korby Audio KAT 4 system just because it's cool as shit looking. Includes C12, U47,U67, Elam251.
