Hello All.
I will recieve my first recorder soon, and i was wandering through places to find few carry / storage solutions i might use. Carrying bags or straps are nice, but i dont think they work well in rain, dusty air, etc. So i dcided to get myself a sturdy and strong case.
I stubbed upon few webpages and the idea to ask you what would be your choice, as i pressume few of you might use cases already.
1. (probably most popular)
http://pelican.com/home.php2.
http://www.stormcase.com/index.htm3.
http://www.otterbox.com/Ive found few of the webpages being a reference in field recording gear, but really, only few of them says a word about cases. Usually, its a link to place no.1,"pelican". solution seems to be simple and worthy, as middle case stands for around 100euros. i dont know much about the other 2, might research a bit more later on.
foam solution seems to be reasonable, but its all the same - pick'n'pluck or non-shaped foam ready to be cutted to desired shape. easy to order separately, solves the "problem" of inside of case.
However, i started to wonder what differs those cases, of course, materials and such. but theres no place to get an info about handling, carrying, overall ease of use etc.
Hence the question:
Do any of you uses / used any of the above ? and is willing to share any advices ?
Maybe other links ? Other solutions ?
i think that might help to all those like me, just entering the recording world.
thanks in advance.
