Why don't you download the Notmad Explorer instead!? Lot's of improvements. I believe the trial is functional, but it's actually worth paying a few bucks for!

i have vista so i can't run that program and also creative has discontinued the updates for nomads

Ok, try Nomad explorer instead. The XP version should work with Vista, right? http://tinyurl.com/34lssb Start with the driver, then the firmware, then Nomad Explorer. The playcenter program is pretty old (pre XP I think) and it sorta quit working in XP.

There are a number of open source jb3 utilities that work better than the original creative tools. I use gnomad2 under linux but I'm not sure if that one is avaible for windows.

i have the nomad one the explorer is not compatible and i couldn't get gnomad2 to install also i tried the red chair notmad and i don't wanna buy it because it only recognized one recording and i have like 29 on there
im seriously bumming hard i went to a festival last weekend and play center stopped working so i got 10 hours of audio stuck on my nomad

Come on, don't let Vista stop you!
I'm sure you must have a friend/neighbour/office worker/whatever with an older OS at home. Walk over and ask to do your transfers there instead. Piece of cake...
