I've just acquired a second recorder unit, really for the purpose of doing some A/B tests of different sets of mics. But I've also realized I could do some other pretty fun stuff, like running 4-ch mixes. But, I need someone (patient) to explain to me how to go about doing it, and how it can be done in Audacity (if at all).
I would be starting with two separate .wav files, of not necessarily identical length. I first need to figure out how to open 4 channels in one window, second, how to line them up exactly time-wise, and third, of course, how to mix them down after editing them.
Like I said, computer recording is still a bit of a weak link for me, so the more specific the instructions the better.
Thanks in advance.
