Making my own mics
« on: May 17, 2010, 04:39:17 AM »
I'm going to try to make my own mics - nothing serious, just a bit of fun, but interested to see the results nonetheless.

I have a pair of ultra-minature Omnidirectional inserts that I was going to attach to a pair of old headphone wiring, but was wondering if there's somewhere that you can purchase wiring or if there are 'better' options...also wondering about housing the mics, because currently they would be housed in...er...nothing....the elements are about 5mm across. Any thoughts/ideas? I want to keep these as 'omni' so I assume whatever I house these in (or how I do it) has some influence over that
