I'm just curious what you will connect them to. You do know that you can't simply phantom-power a pair of Colette cables, right? They need two specific voltages, a low one for the FET (6.2 Volts if I recall correctly) and about 60 Volts to polarize the capsule, although the latter voltage sees an extremely high impedance--almost no current is required.

Nicky C modded a set of KC5's for me so i could run them with an Nbox or with a PFA
It's not a simple cable change with the two voltages as D Satz stated.

I have a  PFA for sale if anybody needs

If you have a PFA, modding the KC5s is no real problem. The Schoeps capsule connectors are really easy to open, unlike the NBobs.
