Denecke AD-20, noisy gain?
« on: July 07, 2008, 11:56:51 AM »
Has anyone else ever noticed a slight static sound when adjusting the gain on the AD-20? I've been noticing this on some of my recent tapes.

That sounds like probably a noisy pot. You can try some of that spray cleaner or probably just replace them.

Edit - or just live with it for a while longer if it's just a minor thing, it will eventually get worse I suppose.

In case anyone was wondering, a little compressed air seemingly solved the problem.

if it's not a sealed pot, contact cleaner is where it's at.
