OTG/Hyperdrive/USB Host drive recommendations?
« on: December 15, 2008, 01:31:06 PM »
howdy,

i'm looking to pick up an OTG drive for festivals (jamcruise coming up in particular) to backup my CF cards to a HDD so I can go out and record more...i've noticed aside from the Hyperdrive and a couple of OTG drives that there isn't a real good naming standard for finding these types of devices.  So I have 2 questions:

1. What alternatives to the Hyperdrive have you found (that include card reader slots)?
2. Has anyone used a device that simply advertises itself as OTG or as a USB Host, with capabilities to copy directly from a USB device, that works just as well with an external card reader (ie. the device itself doesn't have card slots but you can attach any old USB card reader)?

Thanks!
Josh
