I use the ESI Juli@ and really enjoy it.

I use the ESI Juli@ as well, great sound for a reasonable price.

Yes, lots more than just USB interfaces out there.  PCI sound cards (like the Juli@) if you have a desktop.  For laptops, it's usually either USB or Firewire or PCMCIA, unless you've got digi-out already (Macs, I'm told).  Then there are a few wireless solutions too...
