I have read all the pros & cons on the ZS3 and I found a like new slightly used one for 250.00 but I can get the new ZS7 for 50.00 more.
Has there been any comparisons between the two? Is the ZS7 a worthy upgrade or should I nab the much loved ZS3?
This will be used 90% for HD when I am in the first few rows of a concert.

$250 is what I paid new in December...then I lost it a few weeks later. the zs3 is discontinued so it will be hard to find them brand new. I think you should try and ask $225 or $200 and maybe you can mention it is discontinued.
I have briefly read that the zs7 is poorer quality due to the MP count increasing but the sensor size remaining the same.
If I had the cash, I would buy zs3 any day of the week over zs7 but for a reasonable price.

I just pulled the trigger on a new ZS7 from bhphoto "Total $263.79 shipped" so we will see how well it does Thursday when it is expected to get here.

I dont know how I got it so cheap but that is what made me jump on it the other day. I just shot about 20 minutes worth of video and it looks amazing playing the raw mts file right through my wd hd tv live! I can not wait to take this to the next gig i record! If anyone wants any raw samples of anything in particular just let me know ill throw some video your way.

Today noticed COSTCO is selling a LUMIX DMC-ZS6 12 meg-pixel model looking identical to the ZS3 (at least same optics) for ~$269. Anyone have experience with this model?
