Title: Using CA-14 Cards with a Tascam DR-60Dmkii
Post by: Dirtbeard on March 31, 2017, 10:53:23 AM
I have a question about using my CA-14 mics into a ugly battery box feeding into the 3/4 channel input on a Tascam DR-60Dmkii. Will the plug in power coming from the recorder effect the battery box and/or the microphones or will the battery box cancel out the plug in power. I do not want to damage anything? Should I run a different recorder with the CA-14/Battery rig?

You should be able to turn PIP off.  I have a DR-60d (not mkii) that has a menu option under Menu>Others>System>Plugin Power where PIP can be turned off.

Enjoy your DR-60Dmkii!

I have run my CA-14 cards into my dr-60d many times with PIP, without PIP and using Ugly, and with battery box.  Just turn PIP off like rodeen mentioned and nothing to worry about.
