looks like the first internal batteries ive seen on the market that arent made by creative

yup.  with 2 creative batts you supposedly get about 22 hrs of playback.  ymmv of course.

Any update on this?  I'm looking to purchase a set and I'd rather buy new as long as it competes with the OEM versions.

Well, it works fine with my JB3, but I have not tested how long it will record.
