It's not intended for concert tapers (I would have thought) but as a "sketchpad multitrack" - and in that role it has some rather clever features.
Apparently it keeps each overdub as a separate file which can be accessed in a DAW later on. Meanwhile it's able to replay an infinite number of overdubbed performances, which must mean that as well as keeping each performance in a separate file, it's creating a stereo mixdown of the cumulative overdubs, as it would be impossible for such a device to simultaneously replay all the individual performances. A very neat concept which should attract a lot of interest among home musicians.
