from nh700 to rh910?
« on: May 04, 2005, 03:49:01 AM »
well i own nh700 for like over a week, everything works perfect (but its my first MD in life so..), recorded one show so far that came out just good even though i used pretty crappy mic.
i have like no prob with this unit but just found out i can get the RH910 for extra 26 euro, if ill be super quick and get it today. Im googlin like crazy but cant find many tapers recording experiences with RH910 so can someone assure me im doing a right thing? :)

im interested esp in the recording quality. is it any better? it cant be worse, right?

i suppose the only main pros are that RH910 comes with a gumstick battery, has 5 line display and is thinner. I dont like much the NH700's look and its buttons but RH910 still has no HD amp or LCD on remote or backlight or dedicated menu button that would make life easier.

so would it be a good step to do this upgrade or step to nowhere?

id love to hear anyones thoughts.

What's the lowest cost you have seen?  In US dollars - I've seen them as low as $172.00
TS members get a 10% discount at www.soundprofessionals.com - I'm not sure if it would include the RH910

Good luck!

i'd personally skip it and get a jb3, but thats just me.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

The TS discount only apploes to products whose stock # begins with SP- ...mainly mics & battery boxes & mic options, as far as I've seen.
Pretty cool of them.

Is the nh700 Hi-MD?  If not, grab the 910, if so keep it.  I have a Sony MZ-NH1, it's great to have MD & be able to record in Linear PCM.

Id go with the MZ-RH10.  I have it and love it!  the OLED display is the greatest thing ever!  Its a little more expensive then the ones youre looking at now but I think its well worth it.
