« on: July 18, 2004, 08:35:01 PM »
Has anyone tried recording from a soundboard to a multi-track recorder? If so, please tell me ow it went....did it turn out ok, did it sound alot better after mixing than a straight SBD to DAT recording?  how did you set it up...

any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

I just did this last week for a local band.  3 guitars, three vox and 2 room mics... i used a korg dx1600 recorder.  I am in the process of mixing it down right now.  in the past, it has been a lot of work, but way worth it.  all you need is: 1. recorder  2. recording snake (or cables) 3. make sure the sbd has direct outs on each channel.

if you have any questions, please ask!
