ua-5 power

(1/2) > >>

BCostigan:
I see that oade sells battery packs for the ua-5 and they are 12 volts.   Why does it seems like everyone make packs out of rc 9.6v batteries if you can use a 12 volt sla???  What am I missing??  ???

Craig T:
Because 9.6v NiMH packs are smaller, lighter, and cheaper.  I don't know why anyone would want to deal with SLA's to power a ua5 unless you already had a 12v system for some other gear.

I second that!

BCostigan:
 :o  I didn't think of that....just used to the sla's I guess.

mirth:
So glad I don't have to haul around lead... My Rakgear's heavy enough as it is!
