FileZilla is a great one that I've used for a while.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/
and it's open source and free :)

Thanks for the input. I dl'ed SmartFTP and actually did my first FTP dl. I did it file by file, couldn't figure out the whole file. But then I tried a new show and did the whole file, but was shut down by server. The person that gave me the info on where to go to dl what i was looking for told me to only dl one folder at a time. I thought I did, but in the process i looked at a few sources to the show I wanted. Is it possiable that I somehow was trying to dl more then what I wanted? Could this be why i now seem to be denied access?
thanks for the help, Tito you may have right in telling me to hol off on the FTP's
peace
george
btw i tried the FileZella but couldn't find the version someone suggested?

see you need to set SmartFTP to work with whatever server you are pulling from.  Some servers are more restrictive than others.  An example, if you haven't turned off KeepAlive, the server will boot you off as a way to prevent hackers, etc.  i can explain smartftp to ya soon, i promise.  if we don't go to charlotte this weekend, i'll roll out there and explain in detail.
