fuck yea it does.
I"ve made a few RA stubby TA3 connectors, they have held up thus far.
pretty much make them w/the same "recipie" that I use for standard XLRs. Epoxy in the right place, a good fat piece of shrink-tube. You ban bend the metal sled that would crimp the wires in place to form a "right angle"..., and still fit the housing over the pin assembly.
then a THICK piece of shrink wrap over that (and epoxy to hold everything inside the metal housing) and it holds up nice. Pretty? no. Functional, Yes.
