Title: plasma buzzing?
Post by: shayne on November 12, 2010, 09:40:02 AM
I just got my 50" panasonic g-20 set up and I am getting a buzzing noise from 8'+ with low volumes, that is more pronounced when the screen displays large amounts of white. I have read on other forums that people are having similar issues, trying to decide whether I should live with it or return/ excahange. I currently have a 40" samsung lcd that is 4+ years old and no buzz whatsoever. Any thoughts on this, I purchased it at Sears so I believe I have 30 days to return it for exchange/ refund.

In the old days (i.e. 10 years or so ago), Plasma TV's would "buzz" when running at a high altitude (i.e. in the rocky mountains, etc) and at the time I was under the impression there was no real way to fix this.

turns out falty power supply, read online that this  is a problem with many of the g-20's and g-25's, retruned it and went with a 46" samsung lcd. not is much wow factor but silent and great picture.
