I posted in a different thread that I had some gear stolen, including my DPA 4060 > dvice setup. Insurance came through pretty well, and w/ depreciation it looks like my best bet is to buy new gear to take advantage of the replacement value.
The 4060's I had were fine, but probably a bit sensitive for my needs. So I was leaning towards 4061's - but now see that there are other options (4063? 606x series?) also available. Any thoughts? I plan to buy another dvice so I'll be running into that, but pretty open beyond that.
Having some $ to go towards an upgrade makes me inclined to take advantage of the situation, but mostly I just want to get the right mics. Keeping them small is important, but I don't know that the 6 series is something I really need - if size is their major draw.
Thanks!

Glad to hear the insurance worked out for you. Was it car ins or your home policy ?

Home. I could (still might? Get some through the CC I booked the car with, but home ended up being the best. Still out the deductible though...

A few related questions...
-if I go the 4061 route, is my best bet to go with the stereo kit?
-is getting the “core” version worth it?
-if I wait for the 6061s, is there a kit - or am I just buying two different mics?
Thx!
