Title: Batteries During COVID break
Post by: gmm6797 on December 04, 2020, 09:58:15 AM
How are people maintaining the life of their batteries during this "concert vacation"?

I have mostly Nimh batteries (AA, Sony Camcorder batteries and some External USB batteries).... I would like them to not be too dead when concerts come back around (next summer, maybe?)

your camcorder and usb batts are probably li-ion. best storage conditions for those are 40% charge in a cool environment

nimhs should also be kept in a cool environment, but fully charged once a year

Just curious why 40%? The camcorder battery charger shows actual % and when I put a couple on, they were only down in the lower 80's after sitting for about 8 months.... should I run them to 40% and then it is safe to leave them as is for a while?
Thank you!
