Title: GREAT prices on Von Schweikert and Manley products
Post by: Nick's Picks on February 23, 2005, 09:11:49 AM
Hey all....
i'm venturing into gear sales (just a little)...
and I just wanted to pass the word on.  I can get screaming deals on Von Schweikert products, as well as anything from Manley designs.
PM or email for pricing.
warrantees are all good through me.

on some of this stuff, I can rival the average cost of a used piece.  A solid 15-20% discount over average retail prices.
just an fyi.  I'm not really making money here, but I can pass on the killer deals to my peers that I'm able to get for myself.

:)

Is there a limited duration for these prices?  Been thinking about moving to VR2 for 2-channel + TS150 / LCR15 for HT, but am not quite ready to make the plunge.  I'd probably check out Audiogon first, but...this is an intriguing option...

thanks for the tip Nick

nope...
these prices are perminant.

best I can do, fwiw is about 20-25% under normal retail.  you can find those prices, and then just do the math.
sometimes I can do a little better...but it depends on the product.

whats a bummer is when I order stuff for myself, its even cheaper.  but I can't order all sort of things for myself w/o my dealer saying "nick...you've ordered 4 pairs of VR2s...whats up?"
but, I can still pass it on when I can.

fwiw, the used market for VR2s, for example is about $1400-1900.  brand new, they are $2300-2500.  I can come in around the $2k mark for brand new, shipped.  Give or take $50.

some of the Manley products, I can get good prices on.
for example...the $2250 Stingray I can sell for around $1700.
I could get them even cheaper at one point, but that dried up.
still, that is a screamin' deal for a new bomber ass integrated like the this.

How about the new VR-4 SR??   ;D  I'd probably drive to pick them up to save on shipping!

Please PM me a price too.  I know someone who wants the VR-4 SR, and I know he's ready to buy because I'm taking his VR4JRs this weekend.

if they retail for $8k, then i'd sell them for somewhere between 6 and 6.5k.

Thanks Nick, I'll pass that along.   I'm sure that he will be interested and maybe if I help him out he'll sweeten our deal.

Out of curiousity, how are you getting around the local dealer issues?  I know someone here who bought his VRs in NC, but now that there is a DC dealer that is closer, the NC guy says he isn't allowed to sell to people up here.
