Still no luck at my end. The second go around at reauthoring some different tracks looked more promising. The size of the vob track was in line with the master 24/96 wav tracks. 8 DVDs later I still get a one sec. gap. I'll give WavLab a try. Would be nice just to use one program anyway.

Something I did come across and maybe my problem. I used CDWave to make the tracks. When I drag the separated tracks back into CDWave it looks fine on the graphics but sounds like white noise. The same file will play fine in Windows Media Player and WavLab. Wavlab still shows the separated tracks as 24/96. Sometimes I get errors from audio-dvd-creator that it doesn't recognize the format of the wav file. :-\

Just saw this thread as well.

Few things. Instead of wasting DVDs to burn and see if it works....

When you successfully create a DVD-A in Wavelab, it renders the files into the AUDIO_TS folder. You can then use WinDVD 6 to open files/folders from your hard drive. WinDVD 6 supports playing of DVD-A, btw.

The other method is using the above said program (Audio DVD Creator?) and write the disc image to the harddrive and use a program called Daemon Tools that mounts a CD/DVD image and makes it show up as a new drive on your computer. Then follow the open from hard drive approach in WinDVD and point to the newly mounted drive (point it to open the VIDEO_TS folder instead)

This is a good way to test and make sure everyting is kosher before actually burning the discs. At least this is what I do/did.

Hope this helps!

I'll second Daemon Tools. I've done this for extracted video images and works really well.

powerdvd seems to work as well. It also does a great job at grabbing stills.

Has anyone developed a "fool proof" way to use this program to make a 24bit 96kHz DVD trhat will play in any DVD player?
From what I have read, it doesn't make DVD-A discs, it makes DVD-V discs that will play in most DVD players. Has anyone figured out a sure way to eliminate the gaps?

I have never had an issue with gaps, there is a certain box you have to check but I can't remeber what its called.

I bought audio DVD creator last week and it works great.  I've had none of the problems other folks are reporting.  No problems burning files split with CD Wave.  No gaps.

My only complaint is that it takes 45 minutes to burn a DVD.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the music must be part of the same title in order to be gapless. If you have each song as it's own title, you will get gaps. Not 100% sure of this though.

Do you get gaps when you play it back on the computer(ie. power dvd/wmp) too?
