Eichmann Bullet Plugs?
« on: January 31, 2005, 12:14:18 PM »
Getting some new interconnects and wondering if anyone has used these?  Seems like a lot of the mod shops use them on cables.

i use them.  if you want to try them I can send you a pair of blue truth cables from bettercables.com with these on them.  see if you like them.

i like the fit on them- very snug, nice coverage on the plug.

not at all, very very sturdy.  actually often times i find the build better than many rca plugs.

What cables have you compared the Bettercables to?  They are silver strand correct?  I will probably go with the Eichmann connects depending on which cable I purchase.  I'm looking at getting a pair of Wireworld Polaris 5 1M interconnects from fatwyre.com as they are 50% off  (now $150)  This will be stereo only, not sure who or what to go with for 5.1.

i compared these to monsters, canare based home built cables with locking rcas made with silver solder, and one other cable that doesnt come to mind.  i liked the blue truth as they were high end but the cost was relatively low (relative to other audiophile cabling).

No need.  I'm still checking a bunch of stuff out and yet to really make up my mind on anything.  Got bonus coming in the next month so I have until then to decide on universal and cables.

Scott,

Just go for it. They're great connectors.

Saw you got some new cables!  What did you end up with?  Which are great cables?  I think I'll ed up with the Wireworld for 2 channel (1/2 off is pretty nice!), but Doug is really making me think about the SP1000 so I may end up with a lower ed cable for 5.1...for now.
