Antique Sound Labs AQ1001DT Schematic
« on: February 05, 2005, 09:07:52 PM »
ASL is messing with their website and the diagram is done.
Does anyone have a copy of it ?

This is a KT88 tube Push-Pull integrated amp.

E-Mailed a few folks at ASL and finally got an answer after some days.
It had an attached file to the C:\ drive of the user's computer !

Since I now had the file name, I scoured their two English domains and lucked onto it.
Their website is a bit flakey, but it's all good now.
Thanks !

I emailed those f0ckers 6 weeks ago about a remote control and it's still not here ::)
I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

fwiw Trey - I run the Svetlana el34's for the power tubes, they are pretty highly recommended for my amp on the audioasylum board. They have a great reputation and can be had for around $65 for a matched set of four. I think they sound pretty nice, tight and tuneful bass... good clean extension in the top end... Nick McCulbreth recently got a set and seems to like them.

for my 12au7's I have the JJ ecc82's that came with the amp, they also seem to be pretty highly regarded. I just bought some rca cleartops that should be here next week.....

The Svetlanas were a definate upgrade over the stock tubes EL34s that came with my PrimaLuna, the bass was a bit tighter and the midrange seemed much more open and natural.  Overall it's a very nice tube.

Congrats Trey, you're in for a real treat.  I really like the RCAs in my system especially, hopefully they work equally well for you.

FWIW, EH, but not real EH these are the copies.  I've heard that there is a good Mullard copy coming out very soon from Russi or the Balkans.
The EHs don't sound too bad.  I need to listen some more before I start rolling new glass in.

[EDIT - rolled the ASL back to it's owner, and am now fiddling with an SEP using a pair of EL34s (Sovteks) ]

More on it in a few weeks, if I get it integrated into the system.
