light Stand stud to thread adapter ???

okay so I just purchased a 12' light stand with a 5/8" stud tip and have been browsing b&h photo for an adapter
and I think this is the one I need it is a 5/8" stud to 3/8" thread adapter I allready have a 3/8" male to 5/8" male adapter so will this work
