Hey i was wondering if any of you out there knew what the part # is for the Sony TCD-D8 and TCD-D7 battery Sled, and where if anywhere i could buy one?

Thanks for the tip,  went ot my local radio shack and for the 1.59 i now have a 100% functional D8 for a very small price:)

Maybe time to consider the old 4xD-Cell battery sled? Back in the day one of these would run a D7/D8 for over 10 hours.

why do you need a battery sled? im pretty sure the D8 works fine without a sled with a 6V input, a wallwart would be your best bet for stationary use

Sony D8 sled is 2 AA on top and 2 AA on bottom

hes talking about an external D-cell

your best bet to find the internal sled is to look for a broken D7 or D8 on ebay for parts (the ones i see on there now dont even include sleds). But again, for home use theres no reason to have it.
