Freelunch -- ever make a decision on this?
I've been trying to look around a bit at ultra-compact digi cameras. With the baby on the way, the wife wants one for ease of use for snapshots and something to easily carry around in her purse. I'd like something I can snag for taking concert photos, so low light functionality is important -- noise, max aperature size, max ISO, perhaps image stabilization, etc.
Offhand, I've been looking at the Canon 800/850 IS (though that link above for the 800 vs the 700 IS is disturbing), the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 or FX50, the Fuji F30, the Sony T20 or T100, the Nikon Coolpix S50, or perhaps the Casio Exilim Z1050. Ok, so I haven't narrowed it down much.
I'd love any input people have on any of the ultra-compact cameras, esp for concert shots. Who's been using what?
