I have one of these and it's great for all kinds of uses.  Runs a laptop for 2 hours and it's great for recharging 5v USB devices like Ipods, Iphones, I-Rivers, etc.

I'd be concerned about the "modified sine wave" AC.  Might not be ideal for analog components i.e. preamps.
