Title: Small format CD player
Post by: bgalizio on August 08, 2008, 08:19:53 AM
Any recommendations for an inexpensive, small format (lengthwise) CD player? The ability to play SACD and DVD-A would be great, of course.

This is for the small second system I'm putting together. I thought about a portable CD player, but don't think I'll go that route (a little too flimsy for me). I really like my Pioneer DV-588A-S universal player, but would like something even smaller lengthwise.

My bedroom system consists of the cheapest single-play DVD player I could find, and a Sonic Impact T-Amp on top. About as small a footprint as you could have!

it wont do sacd or dvd-a, but the psone is small, and has good sound coming out of the analog outs...

i bet you could get one dirt cheap.

I found a cheap Phillips DVD player at Target that might do the trick ($35). Any other suggestions before I pick that one up?
