Simple Question Re Mixing Blumlien
« on: July 13, 2009, 10:51:48 PM »
I recorded a number of shows at a festival over the weekend with my mics in Blumlien for the first time.  Can someone please confirm for me that there's nothing special you need to do in post to master the recording.  IOW, left mic signal is assigned to the left stereo channel and right mic signal goes to the right stereo channel, without anything else special done in post to master.  TIA.

you got it - the positive side of the cap points to the direction it is assigned (which is done when you set up the mics). after that, there is no additional processing necessary.
