After a problem with my SPSB-6 battery box last month, I need to get it fixed but won't be able to before the next gig I intend recording.
My question is, if I use my AT853 mics direct into the recorder, a Roland R-05, what is the best way to do it. I presume mic in?
The gig in question would be a loud gig in a 1000 capacity in Europe but I worry without using the battery box.

If the AT's have the 4.7k MOD there is no worries using PIP / mic-in on the R05. If they don't have the 4.7k, you can still use the PIP but the AT could distort (in my experience). Get those AT's modded with the 4.7k thingy and enjoy the shows. I have had ZERO issues since.

Silly question, how do I know if they have the 4.7 Mode?
I got them about 12 years ago and can't remember.

Then they would most likely not have the 4.7k mod. That has only been around for a few years (I think). You can contact Sound Professionals and send the mics to them ... they charge a fee to do the modification.

That's fair enough.
Just need to get a new battery box or try and get mine repaired before the 14th November.
