big T bar recomendation?
« on: April 02, 2004, 08:18:59 AM »
Hey now...

I'm going to need a t-bar for my new guns, and i'm looking for something on the large side of life.
Idealy, I want something that is 30" or so wide and has the ability for the mounts to slide to any width on the T bar.
this way, I can run spaced omnis, vertical mounts for coincident techniques..etc.

I see the bogen tripple mount as the closest thing to my desires, but it looks aweful heavy.

anyone?

what about using the mod'd vert bar?  thats going to give you 360 degrees of movement with those guns

the sure bar?
it wont give me the option of spacing them though.  I dont care for that bar, i've used it before, not impressed.

i want somthing like a sabrasom bar, that hinges at the connection so I can lay it horizontaly or stand it up verticaly.  Only, I want one that is 30" long.
:)

1/16" -> 1/8" x 1 1/2"width aluminum L angle stock drilled for 3/8" or 5/8" thru bolt center hole as a t-bar, and mic clamps.

Yep, pick up the aluminium rod at Home Depot for a few bucks.

I've never held any LDs but they look HEAVY. So no, I've only used for SDs and even with those, its a bit fragile.
