Post by: morst on February 09, 2017, 02:49:48 PM: If you're walking a lot, those heavy round-based stands are a lot more to carry, but offer additional stability compared to folding stands.

One criteria for on stage recording is HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?

I find that I can often get good results setting up as low as possible, in order to not get the mics blasted by stage monitors.

the mic stands my own custom part DIY's since I like smaller triposd/light stands for onstage use. These are made of two items

Image shows a 3 section stand but it's only 2 sections these are great, as they are short and compact.
