as devices get smaller and smaller, real estate becomes a premium. it's a well known fact that Sound Devices' pres such as the MP-2, MixPre, 722 and the Shure FP-24 (rebranded MixPre) have spacing for the female input panel mount XLRs very close to each other thus rendering the usage of the standard Neutrik Right Angle XLRs useless.
i put on my thinking caps and came up with a design so we can choose to run RA connectors. the xlrs are machined down to the shell collar, sanded and buffed for a smooth finish. right angle entry is achieved by making a notch on the side and the cable is restrained by a rubber bushing. then electronic grade potting epoxy is used to fill in the xlr.

cable is silver clad. braiding is Techflex. i thought of using Canare Mini-Starquad, but the OD was too large, so i went with the MiAGi-II wire.
