I wonder if there's any hope for a 2ch pre-a/d?

This would be pretty sweet for somone with a 744.
Maybe a couple of small scratches, but thats because these mics are chick magnets.
Girls always up on Andy tryin to grab these mics, the scratches are from their wedding rings.

Exactly what I was thinking.  Although it being 19" x 2U makes it not so easy for portability in the field.

Plus add an inverter and hefty battery to the equation...

Give me a 5012 with an ADC w/WC in one box.
