I'm having problems with the mkw tool....I can convert shn to wav, but keep getting an error when trying to go wav to shn. I rarely use FLAC, but where do I get the fingerprint from?
Thanks.

what flac client are you using?
-
you take your FLAC files and drag them into the empty FLACwindow and hit the "fingerprint" button on the side...
it will then ask where you want this info written, usually at the end of the Setinfo for me, and bam, it is done in seconds

YAH, what he said. that's for the flac frontend client.
not sure for others.
-
people still use shn? ;)

If yer running MKW under WinXP you need to set 'compatibility mode' for MKW to Win9x or Win2k. Right click the shortcut, properties, compatibility.
FWIW, FLAC files' fingerprints are stored internally in the files themselves.
