Do you clean up bass before releasing recordings?

I ran my TL's 30 ft. from stage last night at the Chris Robinson and The New Earth Mud show last night in Columbus.  Tape turned out really nicely.  Lots of good bass (not boomy but deep) and which sounds great on my Sennie headphones and decent mid-fi playback.  Should I pull a little of the bass out for mass consumption?  Any preferred methods via CEP2 to do this? Should I?

i leave my stuff as i like to hear it.  my tapes are primarily for me- hope others like them too :-)

Brian...nothing to add here but just wondering how they sound with the new members? Hopefully they make a swing by the east coast cause I'd like to check them out again with the new band.

Tight, tight, tight.  I was thoroughly impressed last night.  Rob B. is a great addition in a supporting role.  I love how many guitar changes Chris had as a rhythm player......

Personally, I usually don't touch it, 95% of playback systems have some kind of tone control to cut the bass.

I actually have done some editing on only one of my tapes to take out bass.  Usually I just leave it.

I sometimes remove some bass when it's too boomy, but the important distinction is that I do it FOR ME  ;D  If somone else's tastes are in line with mine, that's just a bonus for them!
