Title: Need to power my rig in the field...
Post by: jb3newbie on February 01, 2004, 10:46:56 AM
I will be running ocktava > DMIC-20 > Hosa converter > JB3

I have been doing some searching and think Im about done but I wanted to get some imput from others that may can come up with something better than I can.  Cost is not too much of an issue...

So what does everyone think I would need?  I have to power the DMIC-20 and the Hosa converter

Guess I answered my question on the DMIC-20

direct from sonic sense regarding powering the unit
"Powered by external 6volt battery for over 6 hours "

The DMIC-20 run-time using an SLA will depend on the capacity of the SLA.  Check the Archival Info for threads on how to calculate run-time and gear current draw specs so you can calculate run-time for different capacity batteries.

Which Hosa converter are you using - ODL-312?  ODL-276?  I believe they both take 9v external power.  I run mine on a 9.6v RC battery and it works great.

what brian said.  the hosa draws 60mA.  i got the rs 9.6V/1600mAh batt.  should run the hosa for an entire weekend
