Title: Changing battery cables on UA-5
Post by: blu666z on November 05, 2003, 02:32:19 PM
Ok, so I built a Shapiro cable for my UA-5 a while back.  Been wanting to switch to the adapatplug cord that is coiled.  When you use those, how do you tell which wire would be the + or - since one of them does not have the stripe on it.

easiest answer ever? ;D

Can anyone explain why the UA5 has the tip as negative, and ring/sleeve as positive? this seems odd and possibly hazardous to me.

It definatley set my desk on fire when I had mine... never leave that AC adaptor plugged in if the UA-5 isn't connected to the end of it!
