...im unpacked and gonna work on it in a coupla days and update here. Im pretty sure its 18v, though...
That's what I'd always thought (and written on a few sources I made with it).

...ok, after a nice conversation with Doug. Its an m118 that has no chance ever being an m148 due to the board voltage exceptance and box layout with the batteries. Its an m118 for life...question answered. Thank ya Sloan, funny Eli telling me "yeah, its an m148"...the boy doesnt know what hes got, gotta love 'em. So what second pair of mics do I have to buy to run this thing?

anything that will work off 18v...dpa, schoeps, I *think* mbho, not sure what else....

AKG 460's or JW Mod 460's will work with it.  They can run off of 9 to 48v.
