From what I can tell from the user manual it doesn’t time stretch or “warp” your audio but I am curious as to what RyanJ was referring to with the above:

I've never had an issue with syncing at the start and then like everyone else said, stretch to near the end of the recording. Usually takes a few minutes.

I cut that out completely and have been using this. I know it's a bit pricey but if you will do this a lot. It's definitely a good option! https://www.soundradix.com/products/auto-align/

Thank you once again! I suppose what I am trying to achieve is the best sounding recording I possibly can.

Then I highly doubt mixing 6 sources together will do that

It would be fun to sync them all, and then mix them into Virtual Reality, so a listener can transport themselves to the virtual location of each original pair, to get that "point of view."
This is an idea I have had for a long time... now it is possible, though I'm not overly interested in doing it... might be more effective with stereo (3D) video from each POV...

^That!

Imagining a meta-player source-scraper that finds and aligns whatever sources are out there and provides to ability to switch between them at will.  Click the checkboxes to include any associated video and still shots in addition to the audio sources.

In general, I tend to agree.  Simply putting different recordings together doesn't inherently make it sound better.  Like I've seen people recording 8 channels with 4 different sets of mics and then just mash them all together in post.  I don't get the point of that unless the mics somehow compliment each other...say in either frequency response, config or pickup pattern.

I do think it's an over-generalization though to say it won't work, or it's not worth trying, since it's not always obvious what you'll get when you put two sources together.

One probably obvious example that comes to mind...in my experience almost any audience source will improve the sound of a sterile SBD recording when well synched.

Thanks for the responses, it’s not a guarantee that I will use all five or six but I am intending on giving it a try nonetheless. Does anyone have any idea how to use Auto Align 2 in the way that RyanJ posted about before? (I.e. NOT timestretching as AA2 doesn’t do this although I suspect it may play tracks at slightly different speeds to align them or something like that)

Thank you in advance!
