DPA DAD6001 adapter — no logo present
« on: May 09, 2025, 11:37:36 AM »
There’s no DPA logo on the adapter. How can I confirm if it’s an original DPA DAD6001? It says Neutrik, is engraved 'NC3MXX,' and also has 'Liechtenstein' inside the XLR.

Just want to make sure — I won't fry my DPA 4061 by plugging it into my Zoom F3 with 48V phantom power on, right?

You won't fry it.

Either of the two DPA adapters will work with your microphone:
DAD6001 is flat response and what most tapers use/want.
DAD4099 includes a built-in low cut (@ 80Hz I think, not sure the slope) - I've never used one of those.

There are several Chinese knockoffs of the dpa adapters, but they work great.

Cool to know. Pretty simple devices. I’m sure they can’t be Neutrik connector platforms, for ID sake, and I’d be surprised to see the belt clip copied so exactly.

The adapters are original from DPA, it's just the older model of the DAD6001. Just confirmed by DPA themselves 👌🏻
