Title: How to reverse the phase of a recording in Audacity, or Wavelab
Post by: atxwolfattack on June 01, 2007, 01:08:08 PM
Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there is a setting or switch in Audacity or Wavelab (i don't know Wavelab that well) to reverse the phase of a recording 180 degrees?

Edit: i just noticed an "Invert" setting under effects, does this invert a fully phase reversed recording?

thanks a bunch!

In wavelab there is 'Invert phase' under Process.  You can do one or both channels and just zoom in close to observe the flippage. There is also a 'phase meter' but I haven't used it much.

In Audacity, it'll invert whatever selection you make:  both channels, L channel only, R channel only, or partial selection of any of the previous.
